How to Share Your Canva Designs

How to Share Your Canva Designs with Wimberley Printing Company for Editing & Downloading

Planning to print invitations, banners, business cards, or promotional flyers designed in Canva? To ensure your prints turn out sharp, vibrant, and perfectly formatted, sending us your design file with the correct permissions is key.

Whether you need our design team to make minor adjustments or just want to send us a file ready for press, here is a quick step-by-step guide on how to share your Canva link with Wimberley Printing Company.

Which Canva Share Link Should You Use?

Canva gives you two main ways to share files. Here is a quick breakdown to help you choose:

Sharing Option Best For What Happens to Your File
Direct Edit Link (Recommended) Real-time collaboration with our print team Allows our designers to make adjustments or fix layout/bleed issues directly on your file.
Template Link Reusing a design for future projects Creates a fresh copy for us in Canva without affecting your master original.

Method 1: Share Direct Edit Access (Best for Custom Print Orders)

Use this method if you want our print team to review your layout, adjust margins, or fix alignment before we run your order.

  1. Open the Share Menu: In the top-right corner of your Canva editor, click the Share button.
  2. Change Access Permissions: Under Collaboration link, click the dropdown menu (it defaults to "Only you can access"). Change it to Anyone with the link.
  3. Set to "Can Edit": In the dropdown next to Anyone with the link, select Can edit.
  4. Copy & Email Us: Click the Copy link button and paste it into an email to info@wimberleyprintingcompany.com along with your order details!

Note: Granting "Can edit" access allows us to export high-resolution, print-ready files directly from your design.

Method 2: Share as a Template Link

If you want to keep your original design untouched and send us a standalone duplicate:

  1. Click the Share button in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Template link (if you don't see it immediately, click More at the bottom of the menu).
  3. Click Create template link, then click Copy.
  4. Email the link to our team at info@wimberleyprintingcompany.com.

Want to Download & Send Us the File Yourself?

If you prefer to export the file from Canva and email or bring it in on a flash drive, follow these steps to get the best print quality:

  1. Click Share > Download in the top-right corner.
  2. Change the File Type dropdown to PDF Print (not PDF Standard).
  3. Check the box for Crop marks and bleed (this helps prevent white borders after cutting).
  4. Click Download and send the PDF to us!
